Michelin Star Chef David Thompson Thai Charity Dinner at Paresa Phuket A Huge Success

Michelin Star Chef, David Thompson, joined Paresa resorts team to present a charity dinner at the Phuket hideaway on the breathtaking ‘Millionaire’s Mile’ in aid of non-profit charitable animal organisation, Soi Dog Foundation on June 14th.

We were presented a night of culinary excitement using only the freshest ingredients, sourced at the local markets by Paresa Executive Chef Ryan Arboleda and Chef David Thompson. Passed around were exotic canapés in the stunning lobby, surrounded by enchanting Thai music. David’s Ma Hor (a sweet peanut and pork mix atop fresh pineapple pieces) was a clear favourite amongst the event! With a beautifully delicious array of Thai dishes served family style, the completely divine Monsoon Valley wine to match was deeply appreciated by all .

THB600,000 was raised from the charity dinner to be donated to the Soi Dog Foundation (www.soidog.org), a charity dedicated to helping homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats in Thailand. It aims to set an example in Asia on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and improve the lives and living conditions of stray dogs and feral cats.
