Acclaimed Chefs to the Stars – Kristy and Fernando Stovell Open Stovell’s in Chobham, Surrey

London’s leading husband and wife chef team Fernando and Kristy Stovell are pleased to announce the launch of Stovell’s Restaurant and bar, their first independent location in the UK. Located on the rural outskirts of Chobham, Surrey, Stovell’s will open its doors on the 20th September 2012. Housed within a stunning sixteenth century Tudor farmhouse, the pair have brought the building back to its original beauty and created a cozy, rustic yet elegant setting.

The pair have created a food and drink menu that not only shows their dedication to seasonality but is also true to their artisanal ways. By incorporating locally foraged ingredients into a modern European menu, they have created a mouth-watering selection of dishes unlike any other. For example Wild Mushroom Consommé, Pickled Mushrooms, Lychees, Pedro Ximénez Cream for starters followed by Crisp Pressed Send Hill Farm Suckling Pig, With Prunes, Sherry Vinegar & Cauliflower Cream finishing with a Warm Chocolate Fondant and Tudor Rose Ice Cream.

Both Fernando and Kristy’s talent in the kitchen has presented them with many opportunities to cook for several members of the Royal Family worldwide, celebrities such as Kate Moss, Steven Spielberg, Mick Jagger and former Prime Ministers Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Prime Minister David Cameron. Fernando has also had the privilege to appear as a guest chef on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen and Market Kitchen several times.

Along side the restaurant, which can comfortably seat 60 diners for both lunch and dinner, Stovell’s boasts its own stand alone bar, private dining room and lounge which seats up to 16 people. Stovell’s operates a two course minimum menu at all times.

Stovell’s also offers a separate seasonal grill menu at lunch and dinner, offering various cuts of meat, grilled to your liking, as well as a traditional British Sunday roast every week. Including roast beef, from Lake District farmers, with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables and an ever-popular desert and cheese trolley for after’s, with two courses for £21 and three courses for £25.
